Food photography evolved in the last few years and it became an art on its own. It is not just shooting food in a plate, it has many sides, styling, lighting, skills. In this workshop you are going to enter the world of food photography and what it takes to be a food photographer. - Day 1: Theoretical (3-4 hours) - Props/background selection (2-3 hours) - Day 2: Available light (8 hours) - Day 3: Strobes light (8 hours) - Day 4: Retouching (3 hours)

Times: 
Day one: 1 - 5PM
Day two: 10AM - 5PM
Day three: 10AM - 5PM
Day four: 2 - 5PM - Attendance is subject to portfolio submission: Please send maximum 10 photos, that shows your basic photography skills (not necessarily food photos) to reham@photopiacairo.com. - This workshop is for intermediate level photographers. You need to know how to control your camera well and have a good knowledge about studio lighting.

Day 2 and 3: We will hit the streets and allies surrounding Darb 1718 during daylight to capture Street Food while capturing the ambience. The food will include a mix of Egyptian street food such as a Koshari cart, Termes, Grilled Corn, Halabesa and other food creations yet to come.

Day 4: Retouching and image review.

Portrait photography course-Ended

16 Hours on hands teaching and personal projects, participants gain understanding of what it is that defines portraiture. Working with flash, continuous, and natural light participants explore the fundamentals of photographing another person. Both in the classroom and in their own time, they deepen their knowledge of how to photograph people for a variety of uses and in different situations and environments. Participants are expected to work on a personal project from the very beginning of the course and present assignments for comment in class. Applications for these skills: commercial, editorial, and personal projects.
